We are thrilled to announce the next Unison Forall conference! The conference is online and absolutely free of charge.

Check out the previous Unison Forall conference talks to get a sense of what to expect.

What is Unison?

Unison is a functional programming language. Its core idea is that code is immutable and identified by its content. This lets us reimagine many aspects of how a programming language works. We simplify codebase management — Unison has no builds, no dependency conflicts, and you can rename and rearrange things without breaking any code. The same core idea forms the basis for the Unison Cloud: a runtime that robustly supports dynamic code deployment, allowing a single Unison program to describe entire elastic distributed systems.

Check out the Unison website for more information on Unison.

CFP Description

We are seeking speakers of all backgrounds and experience levels who have something Unison-related to share.

You can talk about the Unison Programming language itself, or explore an interesting topic through something written with Unison or Unison Cloud. Talks about distributed computing in general are also welcomed! You could talk about a language feature, a library, a functional programming topic, or anything else, as long as it relates to Unison. If we accept your submission, we’ll contact you to decide on a specific time for your talk.

In particular, we would love to hear from first-time speakers. We are happy to give you feedback at every stage of the process and will work with you to produce a compelling talk.

We know how much time a speaker invests in their presentation and we value that time! As a token of appreciation, we’ll offer a $300 stipend for any selected talk.
