Upkar Lidder is a Full Stack Developer and Data Wrangler with strong experience in NodeJS and Python. Upkar has worked in the tech industry in a variety of roles like QA engineer, software engineer, backend engineer, python data specialist and developer advocate over the past decade. Current passions include enjoying various kinds of Ramen, hiking, tennis and learning the magic behind ML. Always up for a chat over good coffee and/or beer.
Upkar Lidder currently works as a developer advocate at IBM and can be seen giving lectures at meetups in the bay area as well as online webinars. He is an active mentor at the local bay area hackathons and workshops. His current areas of interest are IBM Watson cognitive APIs that make use of different Machine Learning models in the backend. He is fascinated by the chatbot revolution and strongly believes that we will be able to “converse intelligently” with everything electronic in the future.
