Elevator Pitch
Current generation of coding assistants can certainly help developers in some cases, but is there a way we can make them better? In this talk I’ll show some of the recent advancements in GenAI that can take your average coding assistant to the next level of performance and helpfulness
Description
In this talk, we’ll talk about past, present and future of coding assistants. I will go over the problems of the current generation of assistants and what is causing them. Then we’ll dive into the way to solve those issues, namely, AI Agents. I’ll talk about them in general, why and how they can help actually deliver the promise of “coding faster and smarter” and what is needed to realize those agents. We will then dive deeper into how they can be applied specifically to coding to make your everyday life easier. And we’ll finish off with some examples of the ways you can incorporate such agents into your workflow already right after this talk.
Notes
Hi! This is my second submission (hope this is allowed) for a more technical talk vs more general first submission’s talk :) A bit about myself - I’m Head of ML/DevOps at Zencoder, have been working in ML for about ten years now. At Zencoder we develop the next generation of coding assistants, so I’m well versed in the topic of GenAI in general and its applications to coding in particular. In addition, I’ve been a speaker (including keynote speaker) on multiple international conferences and have received a lot of high appraisals from attendees both when talking with them in person post-talk and through Linkedin.
