Bio
Mario is a backend engineer with a keen interest in large systems and a love for remote work (who doesn’t love working in their PJs from time to time, right?). He started his career 10 years ago, but maintains his real career started 4 years ago when he started working for Plex and was first exposed to the needs of a system that can serve over 300k RPM.
Currently working at GitLab, Mario enjoys technical challenges related to Elasticsearch and making GitLab’s planning tools the best in the market.
In his leasure time he enjoys SCUBA and powerlifting, sleeping in late, and hanging out with his lovely wife.
