Bio
Mustafa Anil Tuncel is a Software Engineer at the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering of the ETH Zürich. His work focuses on building data analysis pipelines and developing novel statistics models for genomic data at the single-cell resolution. Prior to this work, he worked on the Data-Driven Genomic Computing (GeCo) project at the Polytechnic University of Milan where he received his Master’s degree in Data Science and Engineering. He graduated from two Bachelor’s programmes at Atilim University, with degrees in Software Engineering and Computer Engineering as valedictorian. He published articles in peer-reviewed conferences and journals. He is a contributing member at the Python Software Foundation. He has expertise in software engineering, bioinformatics, machine learning and the semantic web.
