Elevator Pitch
Computer Vision and Neural Network have been perceived as complex realm by many. Lengthy installation and high resources have preceded the reputation of this cool future-today topic. However it could not be more simpler and elegantly done in Python by the duet of OpenMV & Nvidia Jetson Nano Dev Kit.
Description
This talk is aimed to exhibit the beauty of Python to demystify a seemingly complex operations for computer to detect and recognise object. Make that daunting task to be simple to understand with efficient operations which will become a magnet to invite anybody to do it with the least effort while gaining maximum impact. To achieve, this talk include live demo of OpenMV (=Open Machine Vision) as a revolutionary python-powered hardware with the renowned Nvidia Jetson Nano Dev Kit as a AI-specialized computer which throttle high computing power to build models while owning a superb capability in AI-world.
Notes
I am a DIY electronic enthusiast and published author of two books, Physical Computing with Raspberry Pi (2017, Elex) and Fun Coding with Micropython (2019, Elex) besides host many workshops. I’ve been passionate to explore new subject in Python, simplify it then share it even to elementary school grade child. I got acquainted with CV thru self-learning and amazed by its wide-range application for object detection and recognition. There are many more out there who have solid knowledge in this domain, however there is nothing more excited to share a complex subject into an easily crunched topic that rise appetite of learners even professional to kick-in and develop AI which fostered by the simply beautiful Python.
