Bio
I’ve been building software professionally for 15 years, focusing mostly on full-stack and backend development for the first half of my career before transitioning into data engineering and applied data science roles. For the past few years I have also led data science teams at Change.org and now at Demandbase. Tackling problems in NLP and Machine Learning in large production systems has been a great passion of mine, and helping others to learn from my experience (and learning from theirs) is incredibly important to me. Additionally, with an academic background in philosophy (of the non-analytic, Continental variety - think more Hegel and less Frege) I feel I approach many of these sorts of problems differently than many of my peers, and I think that has served me well.
