Bio
My name is Rishi Shah. I am an undergrad fourth-year student, currently pursuing an ICT Degree at DAIICT college.
A brief introduction about me, during my BTech I have worked with five open source organizations and three startups including Mozilla, CERN, Sugar labs etc. In the summer break after my freshman year, I cracked Google Summer of Code. I did my second-year and third-year summer intern with Hackerrank, where my job was to develop a service to provide servers to users. I worked with appbase.io as a part-time Infrastructure engineer. Where I have developed automated elasticsearch hosting service on different clouds.
I am expert in infrastructure development and cloud services. I have more than a year coding experience in Go and Java. I am so much passionate about open source world and I like to contribute in open source world during my leisure time. Apart from coding stuff, I am a regular blogger. I have written few blogs on elasticsearch, and currently writing a book on it. I was invited speaker at FOSS ASIA 2016 Singapore conference. I delivered a talk on Docker containers. During this summer, I worked with CERN, to implement reliable and scalable dataset replication system for the Large Hadron Collider experiment.
Currently, I am working at Directi as a platform engineer intern. I have received an offer from AWS Germany to work with the EC2 research team. Probably I am going to Germany in this winter.
