Vinod Upputuri is a Senior Software Engineer at Mastercard with over 11 years of experience in developing enterprise-scale applications. Currently based in St. Louis, Missouri, he specializes in Java-based technologies and has demonstrated expertise in creating robust, scalable solutions using Spring, Hibernate, and modern event-driven architectures. At Mastercard, Vinod has played a pivotal role in several transformative projects, including the Direct Services Access (DSA) Bridge initiative, which expanded Mastercard’s Value Added Services across all transaction types. He has also contributed significantly to Mastercard’s expansion into the Chinese market through the D2XB (domestic to cross-border) project and the groundbreaking China on-soil implementation. Prior to Mastercard, Vinod served as a Senior Software Engineer at JP Morgan Chase, where he led DevOps initiatives and automated deployment processes. His experience also includes roles at IBM India and Professional Access, where he developed healthcare data integration systems and payment processing solutions for Verizon Wireless. Vinod holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and has completed another Master’s from the University of Wolverhampton.
