Bio

Brandon T Bande is an innovator and tech community advocate dedicated to decentralizing and democratizing tech. With a B. Sc in Telecommunications Engineering (2023), Midlands State University), he has been a driving force in the tech community since 2021. Brandon has been part of global tech communities, including Google Developer Groups, Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors, Zindi, and Applied Machine Learning Days Africa where he has mentored, trained and hosted informative an hands-on workshops on how to make use of different tech tools.

Brandon was a local trainer for Gemini AI during Google’s BuildwithAI campaign (2024). He specialized in multimodality properties and innovation using Google Cloud and Gemini AI and Vertex AI. He has previously trained on data tools as part of Microsoft Learn Student ambassadors. Additionally, he was a finalist in the Falling Walls Lab Zimbabwe (2022) and won the Best ML/AI award at the MSU Vice Chancellor’s Innovation Challenge (2022).

Currently, he is working on developing an offline edutech platform for remote areas, aiming to bridge the AI accessibility gap. Brandon’s unique contribution lies in his desire to decentralize and democratize AI, making it more accessible and inclusive. He believes in harnessing AI’s potential to drive social impact and empower marginalized communities. As a speaker, Brandon brings a distinctive blend of technical expertise, and community-driven passion, inspiring audiences to rethink the future of AI.
