Hi, I’m Muhammad Usman Bashir, also known in the tech community as Mr. WebRTC. Since 2018, I’ve dedicated my career to transforming how people connect through real-time communication. Today, I serve as the CTO and Co-founder of RTC League, where I lead the development of scalable, AI-driven solutions across education, healthcare, and customer service sectors.
In 2025, I was honored with the WebRTC Excellence Award, recognized as Asia’s No.1 WebRTC researcher at the Tech Summit. My research currently ranks among Google’s own WebRTC publications, reflecting global impact and industry recognition. Earlier, I was named a Forbes “40 Under 40” Tech Innovator (2024) and received the title Mr. WebRTC from Ant Media for achieving 20ms latency in peer-to-peer OBS streaming.
My work includes building real-time AI agents integrated into Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Webex, enabling multilingual transcription, automated note-taking, and enhanced accessibility. I led the deployment of AI education platforms used by over 50 institutions in Asia, reducing teacher workload by 40 percent and improving student outcomes through personalized AI tutors.
I’ve collaborated with WebRTC pioneers including Sean DuBois, Justin Uberti, and Sam Dutton, contributing to open-source projects like Pion WebRTC, Ant Media, and LiveKit. My innovations include sub-100ms TURN detection algorithms for Alibaba, 98 percent accurate ASR systems in regional Asian languages, and on-premise LLM deployment for rural, cloud-limited schools.
From real-time translation pipelines endorsed by Google Meet to optimizing WebRTC for 5G robotics with Huawei, I strive to make communication seamless and universally accessible. I’ve developed low-code SDKs, energy-efficient P2P architectures, and multilingual support tools that reach across borders and bandwidth constraints.
I’ve mentored over 200 developers, published 18 tutorials with more than 100,000 readers, and regularly speak at events such as PyCon Pakistan, Tech Summit UAE, GiteX UAE and JanusCon. At every stage, my focus has remained the same: using real-time technology to bring people closer together.
