Bio

Hello! I’m Ismael Porto, and it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m a data science student at ESCOM, part of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Some time ago, I decided to dive into the world of programming, and since then, I haven’t stopped learning and creating.

I truly consider myself a total “geek.” I’m passionate about understanding how things work, especially when it comes to technology and data storage. I’ve always been fascinated by the mysterious realm of data systems, and that curiosity has led me to work on several personal projects, some of which have even been featured in our institution’s scientific magazine.

These days, I lead a community called “Nous.” Our mission is to share the secrets of data science with anyone interested. Additionally, I’m part of the MongoDB advocacy program with the title of “Mongo Creator Cohort,” where I collaborate with fellow tech enthusiasts to promote this database.

In the big tech realm, I’m also a key member of the Google Developer Student Club at UPIITA. I’ve had the honor of mentoring Python language enthusiasts. Besides coding, I enjoy writing about technology, and you can find my articles on platforms like Medium and my personal blog. I’m also venturing into TikTok, where I share my experiences and interesting data in a fun and straightforward way.

Apart from my love for technology, I find peace in music. I’ve been playing the piano since I was a child, and I’m currently learning to play the ukulele. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of creating music and conveying emotions through it.

And yes, I make an effort to stay active. Although I don’t run as often as I used to, you’ll occasionally see me getting some exercise. Running isn’t exactly my favorite pastime, but it helps me maintain a healthy balance.

In summary, I’m always eager to learn, share my knowledge, and explore new frontiers in the exciting world of technology and data science.
