The Call for Papers for Node-RED Con 2026, scheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026, is now open. This online conference will showcase how Node-RED is evolving in the age of edge computing and artificial intelligence — and what that means for real-world deployments.
Dedicated to the theme “Node-RED at the Edge of Intelligence,” this community-centric event will bring together developers, engineers, and enthusiasts to share knowledge, real-world deployments, and the innovations shaping the next chapter of Node-RED.
This event is free for all attendees, made possible by the support of our sponsors, FlowFuse and OpenJS Foundation. Submissions are invited from all community members wishing to share their expertise.
CFP Description
Submissions are sought in the following categories:
1. Full Talks & Demos (20-25 minutes + separate Q&A)
The core of the conference will be technical talks, insightful case studies, and practical demonstrations aligned with the main theme. Submissions are particularly encouraged in these areas:
- Real-world deployments of Node-RED in production environments
- AI integration with Node-RED: LLMs, agents, MCP, and intelligent automation
- Edge computing architectures: running Node-RED closer to the data source
- Industrial use cases: PLCs, SCADA, OPC-UA, MQTT, and beyond
- Using AI tools to build, debug, and manage Node-RED flows
2. Lightning Talks (8-10 minutes + separate Q&A)
This is where the creativity of the Node-RED community shines. Submissions of fun, cool, or inspiring projects built with Node-RED are welcome. While projects related to IoT/IIoT and AI are encouraged, this is a chance to showcase any project you’re proud of — no matter how unconventional.
3. Panelists
Experts with strong opinions and experience in industrial automation, AI in industrial environments, IoT security, or the future of low-code development
Submission Guidelines:
Language: All presentations must be in English. Content: Presentations should be practical and provide valuable insights or real-world examples. Abstract: Please provide a clear abstract (approx. 250-500 words) detailing your topic, key takeaways, and intended audience.
