Since the first KubeSec Enterprise Summit, which was held in-person prior to KubeCon 2018 in Seattle, Aqua’s signature series has evolved to include a range of formats with a common goal of sharing knowledge by industry thought leaders and practitioners sharing their real-world experience adopting cloud native approaches.

Initially created in response to the global pandemic cancelling live KubeCon events, the KubeSec Enterprise Online webinar series has proven quite popular with most sessions drawing thousands of registrants.

Topics range from 30-60 minutes, and have included high level market perspectives presented by industry analysts to deep-dive technical talks on security standards and tooling… and everything in between!

The next global webinar series will run during Summer 2022, with one webinar per week for 8 weeks.

Who should attend?

  • DevOps & DevSecOps
  • Cloud architects & Product managers
  • Security and compliance professionals
  • Digital Transformation & Business managers

Important dates to note:

  • April 1, 2022 - Call for proposals open
  • May 12, 2022 - Last day to submit or edit proposals
  • Late May 2022 - Proposal decisions emailed to all submitters, and final agenda confirmed
  • Mid July, 2022 - Launch of KubeSec Enterprise Global Webinar Series 2022

CFP Description

We’re looking for Kubernetes users and experts to share their experiences implementing Kubernetes and adjacent technologies, and how you addressed security and compliance requirements, for example:

  • Culture: Bridging development, operations, security, and compliance teams
  • Security best practices and key learnings from real-world implementations
  • Technology challenges in implementing K8s security and how you overcame them
  • Measuring success, security KPIs and governance
  • Innovative use of open source tools for security
  • Using Kubernetes and its ecosystem to realize DevSecOps
  • Learning from failure: security breaches, “almost happened” incidents, failed audits
  • In-depth walkthrough of vulnerabilities and exploits

In the weeks after the call for proposals closes, subject-matter experts throughout Aqua will review and rate each submission. For each submission, reviewers consider:

  • Originality of the abstract
  • Relevance
  • Experience or expertise of the proposed speaker
  • Relevance to event attendees and current cloud native trends

Aqua’s selection committee members review the highest rated and most popular sessions and discuss their viability for a place on the agenda. Speakers may be asked to make adjustments to their proposals in order to be accepted; a committee member closest to the subject will be in contact. Final decisions will be made in mid May, and notifications will be emailed to all submitters by late May. Flexibility is crucial, we are hoping to carry out the webinar twice to capture all time zones (if needed we can pre-record sessions with a live chat function).
