DevOpsDays Portugal 2024 is powered by the DevOps Porto community, one of the communities dedicated to DevOps in Portugal.. The event will follow the DevOpsDays structure used in most cities throughout the world. This will be the third DevOpsDays organized in Portugal. This year, we repeat the event in the beautiful city of Porto as the host city.
This year the conference will focus on “DevOps & Platform Engineering - Bridging the Gap”. We are looking to highlights the collaboration and integration of DevOps principles within platform engineering for seamless development and delivery. We also want to spark a discussion around what the community thinks will be future trends and revolutionize the space.
Each day will feature a combination of selected talks, ignite talks (5 minutes long), and open space (group discussions). The talks will be presented in a single track while the open space discussions will happen in parallel (according to the topics suggested by the audience).
The selected speakers will include local and foreign participants. The goal is to strengthen and promote the local community and at the same time learn from international experiences. Special attention will be given to diversity and newcomers. We value new and diverse points of view.
For this event, we are considering all talks and ignites to be in English.
CFP Description
This year the conference will focus on “DevOps & Platform Engineering - Bridging the Gap”. We are looking to highlights the collaboration and integration of DevOps principles within platform engineering for seamless development and delivery. We also want to spark a discussion around what the community thinks will be future trends and revolutionize the space.
Here are some ideas that could fit into that perspective:
- Combining DevOps and Platform Engineering practices
- How compatible are DevOps and Platform Engineering, or are they the same?
- Failure cases and what can we learn from it
- How self-service platforms can empower (or not) DevOps
- Is Platform Engineering a step forward or backward for DevOps culture?
- How Effective Leadership Can Bridge the Gap Between DevOps and Platform Engineering Teams
For talks, these should be deliverable in 30 minutes; for Ignites, they should be focused as described on the Ignites format page and limited to 5 minutes.
Submission and analysis are anonymous so that we can remove as much bias as possible from the analysis process.
For this event, we are considering all talks and ignites to be in English.
