Overview: After the huge success of BSides Bristol 2023, 2024 is back with a 2 day event! This premier Cyber Security event brings together professionals, enthusiasts, and experts from the field to explore and discuss the latest trends, challenges, and innovations. This event is an opportunity for attendees to connect, learn, and share insights in a collaborative and inclusive environment. This year we will introduce a rookie track, a juniors program, specialist career development activities, CTF and more!

Junior Program: Specially designed talks, workshops, activities and events designed for our younger attendees (under 18s must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult).
Exhibition Area: Explore the latest Cyber Security products and services from our sponsors and supporters.
CFP Description
Who should apply? We welcome anyone to submit their details in application. The event is a community event and we support applications from all levels of experience. Priority will be given to those currently working or living in Bristol or the surrounding areas, but we want to include a wide range of interesting and current topics so no applications will be rejected without review.
First-time speaker? Great - we want to hear from you! BSides is a supportive community event and we encourage everyone to take part in a safe and supportive environment. Mentoring is available if needed.
Selling - no thanks! We welcome talks from everyone, but we do not accept product or vendor selling as part of the talk. These applications will be rejected.
Conference Tracks The event will run multiple tracks and these will be announced closer to the date.
All talks will be recorded and available online after the event. If you would prefer that you talk isn’t recorded just let us know in advance.
About Presentations Talks should be around 30 mins which will leave some time for questions. Talks will usually start every 40 mins to allow movement between tracks.
There is no standard format. Talk about what excites or interests you, and try to keep it clear and simple so the audience have the best chance of understanding - never assume people already know!
Presenters are expected to bring their own laptop. Although it may be possible to work with those who only are able to bring slides on USB. A limited range of adapters may be available, but it’s best to bring your own if you can. If you think you may need help with this, please let us know in advance.
Attendees Attendees will be from all levels of experience and background, from complete beginners wanting to get into the industry or learn more, to experienced experts or senior leaders.
Selection process Following the deadline, each submission will be reviewed by a panel and rated according to agreed criteria; diversity, novelty, technical depth, thought provoking local relevance. When reviews are complete, the panel and directors will agree on the highest scoring talks for the schedule.
All speakers will receive access to the event, free of charge.
